The Public Health Directors of Colorado (PHDOC) foster an increasingly efficient and effective public health system in Colorado by:

• Identifying and promoting needed changes in established public policy at the local, state and federal levels which affect public health;
• Providing a mechanism for continuing education for its members;
• Promoting improved cooperation and coordination within the public health system in Colorado; and
• Developing a unified approach to State legislative issues relating to public health.

Membership includes the Director (or acting Director) of each organized local health department in Colorado and the Executive Director or Chief Medical Officer of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
